Coda.fm: New Music Torrent Resource

Industry, News, Startups

codaCoda.fm has just launched their own take on how a torrent indexer should be designed. It’s an extremely professional-looking site that simplifies every hassle that comes along with finding album torrents. At a quick glance I would have thought that it was a start-up competing with the other music e-commerce websites out there with one difference - they don’t care if you purchase music.

They have artist profiles that give you the ability to quickly find album torrents of your favorite artists, new releases, top albums, top artists, album reviews, and a list of similar music recommendations.  It is a really clean looking design that makes it effortless to find what you are looking for. Their user interface is definitely a surprise and a step up from most torrent sites out there.

What about the legal aspects of Coda.fm? Well, they could be a prime target for the RIAA since every single torrent has to manually be approved on their end to stop any sort of spamming. But, I still love how it carries itself as a fully operational business endeavor instead of just a resource for torrent links. For a website that’s launched a few days ago they have a surprisingly large amount of musicians and albums.

Torrentfreak has also wrote a little piece on Coda.fm. Check it out!
